you are the universe | the universe is you

Hi, I’m Dr. Kraus. I’m here to help you find balance and peace within yourself—relieving pain, easing distress, and dissolving disease along the way.

I also founded and host Arkansas’s only full-spectrum Chinese herbal dispensary, with over 170 single herbs on the shelf. It’s basically a potion lab for modern healing, rooted in ancient wisdom—and it means I can tailor treatments with precision that goes way beyond a pharmaceutical drug or patent herbal standardized formulas.

At TENET, we believe personal health is not just a luxury—it’s a responsibility. Why? Because good health gives us the capacity to show up as our most authentic self. And when more of us are living from that place—clear, balanced, and vital—the world shifts with us.

We also believe in sustainability, inclusivity, justice, and connection. Every day, we inspire positive change by empowering people to transform their health and, in doing so, transform the world.

How does good health lead to positive change in the world? Because together we create the world. And when we are healthy, the world is healthy.

depth matters

I’ve trained for over 3,300 hours in both Classical and Traditional Chinese Medicine—plus Western Biomedicine—because this medicine is deep, and people deserve to be met with depth.

That includes 310 hours of doctoral study in:

  • Orthopedics

  • Lab and Pharmaceutical Analysis

  • Gynecology & Obstetrics

  • Neurology

  • Endocrinology

  • Cardiology

I earned both my Master’s and Doctorate with advanced training under Jeffrey Yuen, an 88th- and 26th-generation Daoist master of the Jade Purity and Complete Reality lineages, respectively. Currently, I’m continuing my herbal education with Andrew and JulieAnn Nugent-Head, to bring even more precision to the ancient herbal practices I offer in clinic.

a little backstory

Before medicine, I served as a Chinese linguist in the U.S. Navy, where I completed a 63-week intensive program at the Defense Language Institute and became fluent in Mandarin Chinese (and mildly obsessed with Daoist philosophy).

After the Navy, I earned degrees in:

  • Environmental Studies (B.S. & B.A.)

  • East Asian Languages & Cultures – Chinese Language & Literature (B.A.)

Studying Daoism while organizing for environmental justice showed me something that stuck: the microcosm and the macrocosm mirror each other.

Our personal health is planetary health. It echoes through our relationships, our communities, our ecosystems, and our culture.

Your health isn’t just yours. It’s part of something much bigger.

A better world doesn’t depend on any one person having all the answers. It depends on more people becoming healthy, clear, and aligned—so they can show up as their most authentic selves and support others in doing the same.

And when we start doing that? We create environments of safety and trust. We shift from disharmony to harmony—inside ourselves, and in the world around us.

That realization became the foundation of my work. My greatest aim is to help you become the strongest, clearest, most aligned version of yourself—so together, we can co-create the world we actually want to live in.

living the medicine

When I’m not treating patients or nerding out on obscure medical texts, you’ll find me running trails, lifting heavy things in the gym, or camping (though good luck actually finding me there).

I brew gongfu cha like it’s a spiritual ceremony—because it is—and I’m usually mid-translation of some ancient Chinese philosophical scroll (my Dao De Jing version is currently in revision).

When I need to ground back down to Earth, I’m cooking up seasonal eats from local farmers, basking in the tree vibes of a forest walk, or hands-deep in the garden, talking to my plants like they’re old friends—because they are.
